When a closer look can help

What would you like to see?

From a new concern to a routine check, choose a situation below to see what we can photograph.

Suspected leak or damp upstairs

Photographs of the roof covering, chimney areas, flashings, valleys, rooflights and gutters above the affected area can help you see obvious visible issues. The imagery gives you a clearer view; it does not confirm the cause of a leak.

After bad weather

See visible areas where there may be slipped or missing tiles, ridge damage, displaced materials, fallen branches or gutter damage. A visit can take place once conditions are safe for flying.

Dormers, extensions & flat roofs

See the roofs of dormers, extensions and garages that are often hidden from the ground. Get a useful view of the roof surface and adjoining details without climbing up yourself.

Checking roofing work

Keep photographs of completed chimney repairs, replacement tiles, flashing work, gutter cleaning and other high-level maintenance. See what has been done in areas you cannot view from the ground; this is a photographic record, not certification of the work.

Checking a parent or relative’s home

Particularly useful where an older relative should not be using ladders, or where family members want to see the roof themselves. Arrange the visit with the homeowner’s permission and keep clear photographs to look through together.

Routine roof check

Create a dated visual record of your roof, chimney and gutters for future comparison. It is a simple way to keep track of visible changes in places you rarely get to see.

Clear expectations

What this service is — and isn’t

Laluma provides clear aerial imagery of visible areas of your home. The service can highlight obvious visible features or areas of concern, but it is not a structural survey, roofing report or guarantee of the cause of a leak. The drone cannot see beneath tiles, roof coverings or other concealed construction.

Property requirements

Before you book

A few simple checks help us confirm that we can get the views you need.

What the £75 package covers

One residential dwelling with up to six bedrooms in Bromsgrove, Redditch or Droitwich.

Roof size and complexity matter too. Larger homes, unusually large or complex roofs, multiple buildings, shared or communal roofs, commercial properties and locations outside our usual area need an enquiry first. We’ll confirm the scope before booking.

Trees, cables & restricted views

Overhanging trees, overhead power or telephone cables, aerials, scaffolding and nearby buildings can restrict the flight and the views we can capture. Tell us about any known obstacles when you enquire.

We keep the drone in direct sight and only photograph areas that can be approached safely. We cannot guarantee every roof slope or detail will be visible, or see beneath trees, solar panels or other coverings. The final coverage and number of useful images depend on conditions.

Safe access, take-off & landing

We need safe access for the operator and a suitable clear outdoor area for take-off and landing, with the landowner’s permission. Let us know about locked gates, restricted garden access or any other access difficulties.

Children, pets and other people must stay clear of the operating area and follow the operator’s directions. We may need to change position to keep the drone safely in sight.

Permission & neighbouring properties

Please book for your own home, or with the homeowner’s permission. For shared roofs or communal areas, tell us who controls access and arrange any permissions needed before the visit.

We focus on the agreed property and respect neighbours’ privacy. Nearby people, roads or properties may limit where we can fly or point the camera.

Weather, airspace & changes on the day

We check the address and relevant airspace restrictions before confirming the visit. Some locations may need permission or may not be suitable. Wind, rain, poor visibility and on-site conditions can prevent a safe flight.

The operator makes the final decision on whether to fly. If conditions are unsuitable, we’ll discuss rearranging or other options before proceeding. A booking does not guarantee a flight or complete roof coverage.
